OMS Extracurricular Activities

Aviation Club

Students enrolled in the Aviation Club will be able to explore the exciting opportunities ranging from understanding basic aerodynamics, pilot licensing pathways, and the many career pathways that exist in this exciting and growing field.

Ukulele Club

Ukulele is a club for students interested in playing this very popular and versatile instrument. Students will be able to play multiple genres of music as well as explore singing/songwriting while making relevant connections to popular music of all ages.

Book Club

Students explore many genres of books and discuss different aspects of each one.

TV Production

Students learn how to use editing computers, field cameras, and studio space. Students learn video and TV production.

National Weather STEM Station

Students gain knowledge of weather patterns and predictions.

National Junior Honor Society

The National Honor Society helps teach students the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Student Council

Student Council facilitates the growth of student leadership development and the sharing of ideas for the school's growth.

Students Working Against Tobacco

To grow a group of dedicated and motivated students to educate the community, including their schools, on the effects of all substance use by planning events, providing information conducting advocacy and creating social norms campaigns.

Students Who Code

Students Who Code is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.

Yearbook

Students assist in designing the yearbook, photography, and sales.

African American Student Council

Students in the African American Student Council act as the voice of their peers by providing valuable feedback to decision makers regarding the opportunities for African American students to participate in all extracurricular activities as well as allowing us to “keep our finger on the pulse” in the classrooms from a student perspective, their input helps to ensure quality and equity of instruction in all classes across subjects and grade levels.
